BROMHAM MILL’S APPLE DAY- a juicy date for your diary!
Bromham Mill and Gallery hosts their hugely popular annual Apple Day, on Sunday 19th October, from 11am – 4.30pm.
Thousands of people are expected to attend on the day to celebrate all things apple related. On site, there will be a vast selection of food and drink on offer and lots of fun-filled activities for the whole family to enjoy.
There will be a range of fun and traditional activities and you can also find out what type of apple your garden or allotment orchard is growing by Apple Experts. Bromham Mill’s new café ‘Café at the Mill’, which opened in April this year, will be a further attraction for those who may be visiting it for the first time.
The public are also invited to purchase real cider at the cider bar, try some succulent hog roast and enjoy the Morris Dancing displays. People can purchase the traditional Bedfordshire Clanger, a pastry dish for all tastes, consisting of a savoury filling at one end and a sweet treat at the other.
The Mayor of Bedford Borough, Dave Hodgson, said: “Apple Day at Bromham Mill is a great day out for all the family. Last year saw some 2,000 people enjoying the day at the historic mill, and this year there will once again be lots to see and do. This year’s Apple Day is also the first at Bromham Mill since we opened the new ‘Café at the Mill’, so there’s all the more reason to visit!”
Tickets for Bromham Mill’s Apple Day are £5 for adults, £3 for a concession, and adult-accompanied children who are under 16 years of age enter for free! Parking is also FREE.
